When I was over at Rt this year, I met the fab Jackie from Literary Escapism for an interview. That interview is now up on her site if you’d like to check it out. And there’s a copy of Moon Sworn to be won  :)

In other news, well, there’s not a whole lot. I found a couple of more reviews of Moon Sworn, and they’re here, and here, if you’d like to read them. Neither of them are entirely positive, but they still had good things to say about Moon Sworn and the series. :)

Writing wise, got some good / bad news from Bantam the other day. Good News–Mercy Burns has a fabulous cover, which I hope to be able to share with you soon. Bad news–the release of both Mercy Burns and the first Risa book has been pushed back five months. So Mercy will now come out in May 2011, and Risa August 2011. It sucks, I know, but they’re the only slots Bantam could find to fit them into.

I’ll be chatting over at Bitten by Books tomorrow, and up for discussion is Moon Sworn, all things Riley and anything else you might want to discuss. The event starts at 3:00 pm Central and runs as long as it needs to. The contest portion of the event runs until 11:59 pm Central on 5/28. For those not in the US (like me), here’s a time converter. Bitten by Books works in the Chicago time zone

There will be prizes, including two signed copies of Moon Sworn, and I’ll also be putting up the entire first chapter of Moon Sworn. Register your interest (and get extra entries into the contest) by heading over to Bitten by Books

And if you want a glimpse into the mess that is my study, head on over to Book Chic City and check out Where Stories are Made, featuring me :)

Moon Sworn is out and available!

Now, the nail biting begins…hope you all like it!

Here’s a couple of first reviews, if you want to check them out:
Cem’s Book Hideout
The Geeky Book Worm
Anna’s Book Blog
Michelle’s Book Blog

yes, I know, I’ve been slack. Well, at least slack in updating my blog, but not so slack when it comes to writing. Or rather, rewriting. The Mercy Burns line edits were waiting for me after I got back from RT and, now that they’re done, I’ve had to jump into a final edit of Dark Angels, as that’s due to be handed in this month. Poor Risa 2 has been languishing on the sidelines (she hasn’t even got a working title yet!)

So, all in all, not a lot to report. Except, of course, for the fact that the release of Moon Sworn–the very last Riley book–is almost here! Woohoo! I’m excited, but also a little scared, because there’s a whole lot of expectation out there for this book, and I think it’s going to be a tough ask to live up to it. But I think it’s a great book–I just hope that you all agree!

As I mentioned on my index page, I’m doing a range of blog interviews and Q & A’s. There’s going to be a chance to win either signed books or other prizes at these events, so if you have some free time, it might be worth joining in on the fun. I’ll add direct links from the blog once the events draw close.

In other news, as you can see by the link to the right of this blog, I now have an official Keri Arthur fan page. I’ve basically done this because I didn’t realise Facebook restricted numbers to 5000 on ordinary pages. While I’m no where near that number yet, I don’t want the hassle of trying to create a fan page when they’ve frozen my regular page (this happened to someone I know recently). So, feel free to join up on the new page–I’ll be trying out the discussion area there once Moon Swoon has been released :)

The Australian Romance Reader Association awards are being held this weekend, and I’ve received nominations in three categories (Fav Scifi / Fantasy / Futuristic romance with Deadly Desire, Fav Continuing Romance series, and Fav Aust Romance Author of 2009). All of which is pretty damn cool. I’ll be flying up to Sydney for the awards on Saturday, and if you’d like to go yourself, there’s still tickets available if you hurry. You can check out all the nominations here and download the dinner registration here.

In other news, the line edits for Mercy Burns were waiting on the kitchen table for me when I got home from RT, so I’ve basically just been doing those. I’m about half way through, and hoping to finish them within the next couple of days. Then hopefully, I’ll have time to not only get back to writing, but to updating my website and to upload the rest of the RT pics I have.

And of course, the big news is that the countdown to the release of Moon Sworn is finally on — 15 days to go!

is about to go up…. :)

and now, it is up…just click here

here’s the booktrailer we made in the book video workshop run by Diana Holquist at RT. Check it out–it’s rough but fun :)

Well, RT is officially over for another year, and I’m on my way home. Because I wanted to avoid the hell that is LA airport, I’m heading to Oz via San Francisco. And because it’s Sunday, there’s no flights out from here, which means a stop over. So, I decided to treat myself, and headed for the Ritz Carlton.

Oh. My. God.

It’s AMAZING!

Going through the lobby I tried hard to be cool but all I wanted to do was stop and gawk. And my room…it has a hallway, for pete’s sake! And you could actually swing several cats in the bedroom area. Have taken several photos and will load them up later, along with some more random pics from the conference. In the mean time, I’m off to enjoy a little luxury….
