Agent Information
As you've no doubt read a hundred times on a hundred different websites,
never sign a contract with an agent (or a publisher, for that matter),
without thoroughly checking them out. And remember, too, that just because
an agent is willing to sign you doesn't automatically mean he (or she) is
the right agent for you. Talk to them (via email if you live at the bottom
of the world like me <g>), get a feel for the type of books they're
enthusiastic about, and whether their personality will mesh with yours.
You may laugh, but it's just as important that you get on with your agent
as it is that they have a good rep.
oh--and remember, an appearance on this list does not apply my approval in
any way, shape, or form. (though I do adore and recommend my agent, who
appears in this list)
