When I was over at Rt this year, I met the fab Jackie from Literary Escapism for an interview. That interview is now up on her site if you’d like to check it out. And there’s a copy of Moon Sworn to be won  :)

In other news, well, there’s not a whole lot. I found a couple of more reviews of Moon Sworn, and they’re here, and here, if you’d like to read them. Neither of them are entirely positive, but they still had good things to say about Moon Sworn and the series. :)

Writing wise, got some good / bad news from Bantam the other day. Good News–Mercy Burns has a fabulous cover, which I hope to be able to share with you soon. Bad news–the release of both Mercy Burns and the first Risa book has been pushed back five months. So Mercy will now come out in May 2011, and Risa August 2011. It sucks, I know, but they’re the only slots Bantam could find to fit them into.

Ok. I’m super upset with Bantam. A whole year away.
Next, did the critics read the same book I did? I know everyone has their own opinions but I really loved the direction this book took. It really showed how much Riley has grown over the years. So, while I respect their opinion, I sincerely disagree. The book gave me the closure I needed and wanted. Thanks very much.

Okay, I can not agree with either of these two reviewers. Riley needed a break and just because she wasn’t being physically abused in this book didn’t mean it was easier on her. The character was being mentally abused and seriously messed with – much harder on a person. I loved the direction it went and at the end of the book/series I was left feeling satisfied and happy. Very nicely done Keri!
