Hmmmm... dunno if it'll help any at all, but it's cheap to try.

Just over a couple of years ago a friend got me started with 4-5 heaping tablespoons of cottage cheese and 1 tablespoon of cold-pressed flax oil (must be stored and maintained refrigerated).

She's a nutritionist, and had found research that it helps significantly with cancer risk. 3 weeks later, my arthritis was GONE. Someone else that started at the same time had similar results, although others haven't had any relief for their inflammatory conditions. Takes 3 weeks to effect, wears off in 2 months if you stop; I've checked twice. I eat the cottage cheese and chase it with the flax oil.

I'm not a big fan of MOST of the 'alternative medicine' because most of it is hokum sold to the clueless, but this *works* for me and a few others I know. Maybe it'll help the tendonitis, maybe not. In looking further, they mention inflammatory disease as one thing it helps with, but ALL snake oils say that. ;)

Flax oil is the highest concentrated source of Omega-3 fatty acids, and the cottage cheese is a surfactant so that it's water-soluble and moves through the cell walls.

I'm an engineer. Hard nosed and NOT a starry-eyed New Ager. For me, the complete remission of arthritis was a surprise and a welcome relief. What it screams out to me is a dietary deficiency in O-3 EFAs causing something that medicine could mask somewhat but not cure.

The brand of flax oil doesn't appear to matter, nor does the brand of cottage cheese or how you eat it (mixed or not). Hyper-pasturized cottage cheese will last in the fridge the longest, though, and that's what I buy. Flax oil spoils VERY quickly at room temp. If you find it on an unrefrigerated store shelf, it's already bad. It should have a light nutty smell and flavor, anything else is spoiled.

Again, no idea if it'll help your tendonitis, but here in the US a 3 month supply is about 15USD, so it's not pricey. You don't have to leave this comment up, feel free to delete it. I'm not advertising anything.

Sorry to hear about your wrist, Keri. At page 335 it sounds like you're on the home stretch.

Loved the Black Stallion, BTW. Worth adding to your collection.
