Character Profiles--Riley Jenson Guardian series

 

Riley--- our heroine. She's a dhampire (half werewolf, half vampire) who is more wolf than vampire, and in the first book (Full Moon Rising) works as Jack's assistant at the Directorate of other races. She's pretty but not beautiful, has red hair, shadowy grey eyes, and is not built as lean as most wolves are. Loves hazelnut coffee, chocolate, cookies and ice-cream. Pack is all to wolves, but Riley's pack really only consists of her twin, Rhoan--and she will go to great lengths to protect him. Riley's one aim in life is to find her soul mate, settle down, and recreate the family life she never really had. But her body is already betraying those aims.

Rhoan---Riley's twin brother, who takes after the vampire side of their breeding more than she does. Whereas she needs sex during the full moon phase, he needs blood and sex. He's a guardian at the Directorate of Other Races and, as such, one of their best hunter-killers. Like her, he too will go to great lengths to protect pack, which in Rhoan's case includes Liander--the man he loves but refuses to settle down with. He also  loves to shop, and has been known to blow the rent money on clothes for the two of them more than once.

Quinn---A vampire who was never entirely human, even before the change. He has black hair, dark eyes, and is drop-dead gorgeous. He also extremely rich, has strong telepathic skills, and is over twelve hundred years old. In the vampire hierarchy, he is fourth in line, with only Director Hunter and two others above him, and that makes him one of the most powerful vampires around. He is a man long used to doing whatever it takes to get what he wants--and despite an aversion to werewolves and their sexual habits, what he wants right now is Riley.

Jack--- Riley and Rhoan's boss, and head of the guardian division. He's a hawk shifter who turned late in life (he took the vampire ceremony at 60, which is the age he looks) and is currently over 870 years old. He has extremely strong telepathic skills. He's bald, with green eyes and a stocky build. Director Hunter--who created the Directorate and who runs the Melbourne division--is his sister, but she's quite a few hundred years older. He's determined to not only make Riley a guardian, but to make her and Rhoan the best team around.

Liander-a former military officer (electronics specialist) who now works as a movie make-up and effects specialists. He's a silver wolf, so he has silver eyes and hair. He's also Rhoan's soul mate, and wants what Riley wants--a family and kids.

Kellen-a very rich, brown alpha wolf with green eyes and a great bod. He meets Riley in first book, dances with her in second, becomes intimately involved with her by the third. Riley comes to love him, but is he really her soul mate?.

Kade---A horse shifter Riley rescues in Kissing Sin, and who becomes a casual lover. Works in military investigations but is later seconded into the Guardian division.

Dia Jones--a blind psychic and the only 'original' clone to survive the Directorate clean-up of the cross-breeding labs. She's a wolf whose shifting skill allows her to alter her facial features. She's ethereal, beautiful, and she and her baby daughter (Risa) live in an old english-style house in Toorak. After the events of Tempting Evil, she and Riley strike a tenuous friendship.

Salliane (Sal)--took over as Jack's main assistant when Riley became a guardian. She's a caramel haired vixen who has the hots for her boss and with whom Riley has a somewhat antagonistic relationship.

Ben Wilson (aka Shadow)--a bike riding, blue eyed, black wolf who is the manager of a stripper-for-hire business
