Six Sentence Sunday Time...

And, you guessed it, it’s from Wicked Wings, book 5 of the Lizzie Grace series, which is OUT NOW!

To celebrate said release, we have more sentences this time  :)

Monty appeared a few seconds later. He had a multitude of twigs in his hair and scratches on his arms. Belle followed him, her grin unrestrained.

“What have we got, Liz?” He hobbled over surprisingly fast.

“Well hello to you, too,” I said, voice dry.

He had the grace to look chastened, if only momentarily. “Sorry, just eager to get back into the action. Been going a bit stir-crazy after all the inactivity and hospital stays.”

“You worked in spell cataloging for most of your working life. You should be used to inaction.”

He stopped beside me. His face was flushed with heat, and sweat dribbled down his cheeks and stained the underarms of his shirt. “It seems I’ve gained a taste for action, despite being in the reservation for only a short time. What do we have?”

He gave me the look. “I can see that much.”

I grinned. “Did Belle tell you about the ones we found earlier?”

“Yes, and Ashworth should have waited for me. I am the stronger witch.”

“Dare you to say that to Ashworth,” Belle commented.

Another Six Sentence Sunday Post...

Wicked Wings–Book 5 of the Lizzie Grace series–is out on Tuesday, so here’s another teaser. This time, it’s a fun one

“How am I supposed to beat the competition when I have no idea who the competition is?” he grumbled.

“You’re not. That’s the whole point.”

“You’re a mean woman, Lizzie, but you won’t stop the course of true love.”

I grinned. “Give it up, Monty.”

He laughed. “Why? It gives me something to do.”

“I’m never going to be your something to do, Monty,” Belle yelled. “So please do give it up.”

Apple's 'What to Read' recommendation

Wicked WIngs made it onto Apple’s ‘What to Read’ list this month–woot! It’s my first one, so you’ll have to excuse the excitement. :)

If you’d like to check it out, head on over to Apple. The link may only work for Australia and New Zealand–it might not resolve properly for other countries.

It's Six Sentence Sunday time again...

And this time, we’re stepping back into the past…

She couldn’t be dead. She couldn’t. I’d survived, and she was stronger–tougher–than me. How could she die? How could that be possible?

And then I saw something else.

Bright sunlight.

Dawn had well and truly passed.

That’s why my rescuer had been so vague about Rainey. They couldn’t find her. And no matter how much they looked, they would never would. The flesh of a dead dragon incinerated at the first touch of sunrise.

Six Sentence Sunday time!

And yep, it’s another teaser from Wicked Wings :)

It didn’t take us long to drive to the location of the tree cave, but getting through the forest with any speed with Monty on crutches wasn’t easy. At least this time he avoided falling over.

When we did finally reach the clearing, Ashworth said, “Interesting spell.”

I glanced at him sharply. “Why? It’s a simple trigger spell.”

“There’s nothing simple about that. Not when the wild magic is present and concealing it.”

I frowned. “How can wild magic conceal a spell? It can’t act without direction…”

My voice faded. Except that some of it had, ever since Katie’s soul had become a part of it.
